Marie Lee’s latest novel, The Evening Hero continues to pick up accolades from various publications since it’s debut a few short weeks ago. Latest on the list is the mention by the magazine, Vanity Fair, which lists Lee’s book, The Evening Hero as one of its reading recommendations for the month of June. 

Vanity Fair lists, The Evening Hero, which is a story about Dr. Yungman Kwak, a Korean-American immigrant who is living the ‘American Dream’ until it all comes crashing down as one of it’s June reads. The plot of The Evening Hero follows an aging Dr. Kwak who realizes as he is forced to face reality, the hard truth about his past. Vanity Fair shares that The Evening Hero, published by Simon &  Schuster is, “a sweeping portrait.” 

Vanity Fair includes many other books for readers to check out along-side the evening hero with links that will bring the reader directly to a page where they can purchase it for immediate digital download or a physical copy. 

The Evening Hero is currently available from a variety of booksellers including Amazon and Bookshop, as well as others. Readers can purchase a copy to add to their own summer reading list today. Prior to writing The Evening Hero,  Lee’s work has awarded her many distinctions as an author including the Fulbright scholarship. Marie Lee is also a New York Foundation of the Arts Fiction Fellow. Lee’s young adult novel Finding My Voice won the Young People’s Literature Award. Marie Lee has published more than 6 novels and this latest one, published by Simon and Schuster, brings a new Korean immigrant story to the public, showing off new facets of the author’s writing.
